Online Video Training can be made available to your employees through the ECS web site on an annual subscription basis. Alternatively, our video courses may be purchased and loaded onto your corporate computer network for in-house training. Currently ECS offers an innovative ITAR Awareness Training Course (approximately one hour, with a final exam) and is developing additional short video segments (15 minutes each) covering specialized topics such as Agreements and Licensing. Our first two short online training videos will be released this winter.
On-site Classroom Training is available to all our clients upon request, and can be adapted to a wide range of audiences from beginners to longtime compliance officials. ECS staff members frequently travel to client sites in the U.S. and abroad to instruct classes varying in size from 5 to 100 trainees. Programs and schedules can be customized to meet the needs of each client and audience.
Webinars (interactive web-based seminars) allow ECS to provide classroom instruction to its clients remotely and cost-effectively via the internet, saving travel time and expense for both trainees and instructors.
Audits- ITAR compliance audits are an essential component of any successful export compliance program. Audits provide valuable feedback that can be used to revamp your employee training programs, as well as revise and update your Export Compliance Policy & Procedures Manual. When conducted by ITAR professionals, a systematic assessment of your company’s current policies and procedures will not only spotlight problem areas and identify weak points, but also offer practical solutions and suggest effective ways to prevent export violations in the future and avoid the costly penalties they could entail.
Compliance Manuals that summarize the relevant U.S. export laws and regulations, as well as explain your own company’s specific policies and procedures, can be created and carefully tailored to your particular needs by the ECS editorial staff. We can also review and make improvements to your current manual. A well-written customized manual can function as a working guide and training resource for your employees. Not only will it simplify and support the compliance process by increasing understanding and providing a consistent framework of reference, it will also give evidence to the U.S. Government regulatory agencies of a real commitment to “due diligence” on your company’s part and may help reduce your potential exposure to civil or criminal penalties.
